Each of Prairie Apothecary’s wildcrafted perfume oils embodies that philosophy—created with intention, patience, and a deep respect for the wild plants that grow abundantly in the northern forests of Saskatchewan.

In the oil-based format, aromatic plant extracts—such as essential oils, infused oils, and tinctures—are blended into a nourishing carrier oil. This creates a gentler, longer-lasting scent profile than many alcohol-based perfumes, allowing the natural beauty of each plant to unfold slowly on the skin.

Each perfume blend follows a structure of top, middle (heart), and base notes. Each note plays a role:

• Top notes introduce the scent—often bright and fleeting.

• Heart notes form the body of the perfume, lingering softly.

• Base notes, also known as natural fixatives (like frankincense, cedarwood, or vanilla), slowly evaporate and help the aroma last longer.
